WE ARE SOBA
SOBA is an ode to the trailblazing Black Insurance professionals that came before us. Through the seemingly impossible, our ancestors “made a way out of no way”. Since the first recorded Black Insurance/Mutual Aid Societies of the 1800”s, the best of us have been on a quest to repair broken bonds and make a better way for our families, generation after generation. The successes that we can look to like North Carolina Mutual (1898), or Liberty Insurance (1919), were born out of a need to secure the lives and futures of our families and children when no one else would. Through the years, these success stories continued to fuel our community. SOBA continues in that same vein, bringing together multiple agents and businesses to represent Black Excellence in Insurance.
